Printer Problems?

Printer Problem “Not Printing” with Windows 10

We have had customers with these issues and they were not alone.

HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer output disappears.

We have had a couple of printer problems after updating with Windows 10 or after HP printer install and updates with a new Windows 10 PC.  The HP Officejet Pro 8620, use the Class driver to work with Windows 10.

Also with Window 8 with HP Officejet Pro 8620 doesn’t print but the document is sent to the printer and is removed from Print Queue.

Under Printing Properties->Advanced Tab- New Driver. Select HP – then choose 8600 class driver.
iPad, iPhone or other PC print perfectly with no problem,
the Print and Scan Doctor cannot detect or fix even with a full software reinstall.

Instructions for Windows 10, download and install latest windows 10 compatible software/drivers if not already done.
If printer does not print, i.e. Print job spools and then disappears without paper output.  Change the driver the Printer is using to the “Officejet Pro 8600 Class” driver.

Do this by:-

  • Right Click on Start Button and select Control Panel.
  • Select View Devices and Printers.
  • “See What’s Printing” by Right Mouse click on HP printer concerned and selecting “See What’s Printing”  or by double clicking Printer Icon and then selecting “See Whats Printing”.
  • When window opens, select Printer in Header and then Properties.
  • In properties window, select Advance Tab in Header and under “Driver”,  from the dropdown Select the Officejet Pro 8600 Class” driver and click OK.
  • Close all windows and then test.

Dell 1320c Laser Printer Not Working with Windows 10, Paper Out / Tray Problem

Check to ensure that you are using a USB 2.0 port to the printer and not a USB 3.0 Port, change if necessary.

Windows 10 installs the HBP driver, but a working one is found at http://www.dell.com/support/home/ed/en/eddhs1/product-support/product/dell-1320c/drivers

Select the Operating System “Windows 10, 64-bit”, then goto

Drivers for OS Deployment (1 file)
1320c_DRV_ENG_01-01-06-00_01-01-06-00.exe | ALL (9 MB)
http://www.dell.com/support/home/ed/en/eddhs1/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R244482

Select and download the file and when asked to unpack the driver, save it to a convenient place (suggest User/Downloads/a new folder) on your hard drive and note this location.

To replace the non-working printer driver that Windows 10 offers you (the 1320c HBP version) then go to

Control Panel / Devices and Printers / Right click on the printer and select Printer Properties / Advanced Tab / New driver / Next / Have Disk
or
Go to the Device Manager / Printers /1320C and then Update Driver, Have Disk

In either case, browse to the place you have the unpacked driver then click through the sub-folders / English / Drivers / and then select either the 64 bit folder (win_x64) or the 32bit folder (win_x86) and click on Open then OK , Next and Finish.

Turn the printer off, wait 60 seconds, and then on again to remove the paper error and then do a test print. This worked for us.

To install the Dell Printer’s Monitor window, use the same Dell Product Support Page above but select the Application (1 file)
